Russian street artist T-Radya is capturing international attention with his recent installation of Russian World War II soldiers.The artwork process began with an outline recreation of a soldier's face (inspired by historical images) made out of bandages, and fixed onto large wooden boards. The bandages were then sprayed with methane and set on fire outdoors... and awaited the rain. The burns created a visually stunning portrait effect that resembles weathered black spray painted street art.

The portraits, a set dubbed Eternal Flame, are on display along a wall of an abandoned hospital (images below) that housed injured soldiers of the Soviet Army during 1941-1945 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
