Meet Daniel Thompson...in this feature from the Ottawa Citizen by Sonia Mendes:
"Art takes on a whole new perspective when you become its central subject. Daniel Thompson would know; he's been working as an "undraped" - or nude - model for art classes for the past 12 years.
While it certainly raises a few eyebrows during cocktail party chit-chat, especially in conservative-minded Ottawa, make no mistake - Thompson doesn't take his work lightly.
"I approach modelling in the same way that I used to approach competitive rowing," says Thompson, 32. "I take it very seriously and I bring a lot of discipline to it."
It may seem counterintuitive, but Thompson says that he first started posing for art classes as part of a self-inflicted campaign to overcome his extreme shyness...". Con't reading Confessions of an 'undraped' art model, HERE.
Mirth would like to take this opportunity to highlight a new label to the blog engaging, from time-to-time, Life Models.
